I have been making jewelry in one form or another since the fifth
grade, but it was only after moving to the DC area that I began to pursue this interest seriously. After a few years of casually making lots of jewelry for friends and aquiantances I started Lilypad Designs in February of 2004 and began pursuing it seriously as a fulltime career in May of 2005. I formally studied studio art at Gettysburg College; however, I have been an eager student of design, color theory, and the visual arts in general for as long as I can remember. I also enjoy photography, painting, drawing, and sculpture.

I keep my designs fairly simple to allow eye-catching color combinations to dominate. My designs appeal to women with a strong sense of individual style who seek unique accessories that allow them to stand out without sticking out.

When I am not knee-deep in beads or obsessing about color theory, I can usually be found reading in the sun, swimming, visting Carvel, singing with the "vocal vixens" of Kismet (DC's only all female a cappella group), or compulsively collecting useless frog-related items.
